Jess and Jo have given their maisonette flat new life with a French flair; UK

Jess and Joe are well ahead of the growing trend towards ‘living above the shop’ in town and city centres. Their home is a splendid three-storey maisonette which sits above a shop in the main street of a historic market town. It overlooks the ancient parish church, and is close to any number of local amenities – a perfect location. Having lived for several years in a modern town house, the couple found the move into such an old building a bit of a challenge during the first few months. There was a lot of painting and decorating to do, but interior decorator Jess always had a clear vision of how she wanted the place to look, her personal style tending to veer away from safe, predictable options.
