The prize-winning, contemporary home on the Suffolk coast belongs to interior designer with a special interest in lighting. She and her husband bought the large sloping plot because of the view and location. Initially they planned to refurbish the existing property but after much deliberation they decided to tear it down and build a modernist house centred around an atrium and helical staircase.
